Clef Two-Factor Authentication is Shutting Down

Their plugin is currently having more than 1 million active users installs on WordPress websites. Which are using two-factor authentication security system to secure their website with clef security plugin.


In this announcement on the official website of the clef that they announced that Clef team will join another company. at that point, their apps will be removed from Google play store and from Apple store soon.

The shutdown date of clef security will be 7/July 2017. So In the next month of July, the clef users have no longer to use their product.

They are recommending to use jet pack by WordPress plugin two-factor authentication system. and the team also say that their team will continue work as soon as the Clef app shutdown.

Another thing if your clef user then doesn’t worry about that because they are proudly recommending jetpack, wordfence, and google authenticator two-factor authentication to use after shut down of the clef.

That mean you don’t need to worry about two-factor authentication of your WordPress website because there are many different alternatives of Clef plugin to use.
